Project Manager – Banking and Finance Cloud Migration

Overview: Consortia Companies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead cloud migration projects for our clients in the banking and finance sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects involving the migration of services, applications, and data to the cloud for financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end cloud migration projects for banking and financial services clients, ensuring all project objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
• Cloud Migration Expertise: Lead the planning and execution of migrating services, applications, and data from on-premises environments to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication on project progress, risks, and deliverables.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption to services during migration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including IT, data engineering, and security, as well as external vendors, to ensure successful migration execution.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure that all cloud migration processes adhere to industry regulations, banking standards, and data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS).
• Resource Management: Manage resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to executive leadership, detailing progress, challenges, and recommendations.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on cloud migration for banking or financial institutions.
• Banking & Finance Knowledge: Deep understanding of banking and financial services operations, regulations, and industry-specific challenges.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, specifically for migrating banking systems, applications, or data.
• Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Regulatory Compliance: Experience working in a highly regulated environment, with an understanding of financial compliance standards like PCI-DSS, SOX, and GDPR.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certifications preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA preferred).
